Terms of Acceptance - This document discusses what chiropractic is, what an adjustment is, and how things opperate in the office. The purpose of this document is to insure that the doctor and the patient are on the same page in their persute of care and healing.
Good Faith Estimate ("cash" patients) or Advanced Benificiary Notice (Medicare patients) - Both of these documents cover the charges in the office and how they will be covered after the adjustment is completed.
Patient History - This so the doctor can get a good understanding of what effects these misalignments are having on your body; allowing them to start building the unique story that surrounds you and your health.

What is an adjustment? - An adjustment in the specific correction of a misaligned bone in your spine generally performed with a quick pushing motion which allows the nerve that exits between the vertebra to function better.
Does it hurt? - No, Not generally. There can be some minor discomfort right after the adjustment but it quickly disapates.
How do you know that it is safe for me? - Through our specific history, examination, and analysis of your spine we can make the decision of its safety. If something comes up along the way in examination the clinician will let you know about it and inform you of the best mode of action movings forward. When you are at Blue Grass Chiropractic your safety is our number one concern.
How are finances handled? - Blue Grass Chiropractic is a "cashed based" practice meaning that we do not accept funds from insurance companies, but if your insurance company covers our care then we would be happy to provide the proper resources and educate you on how to submit your claim. Funds are due on date of service meaning no charge accounts are supported.
Do you adjust on your first visit? - Yes, generally we do adjust on the first visit unless findings in the exam or analysis of your spine lead us to question your safety then the next step is discussed.
Do you require radiographic films (x-rays) - No, our practitioners can use other chiropractic techniques that do not require the use of films for their proper application, though if something comes up in the examination warrenting films then the proper referal will be made. Your safety is our priority!
